I joined Rainforest Partnership, a non-profit based in Austin, Texas, as a Graphic Design volunteer in order to use my skills for a cause I support and believe in – environmentalism, specifically rainforest protection and regeneration. As a member of the current website refresh team, I am strategizing and collaborating with a small group of other volunteers to determine style guidelines, organize content strategy, and optimize UI/UX for Rainforest Partnership’s website. With the help of the rest of the website refresh team, I’ve created a set of icons for use on the website to represent the six prongs of RP’s Integrated/360 Approach, as well as matching icons to represent the three different types of partnerships on our partners page.
In addition to the website refresh work (an ongoing project that we are still working on), I frequently collaborate with the Projects Coordinator and other Graphic Design interns to create and provide feedback for various marketing assets and graphic layouts for social media or print.
